Museum Expansion Project

The museum is undergoing a metamorphosis from a garage to a full-fledged house. This process will take most of 2026, but in the end the museum will become its own legal entity.

Current Status: The museum is OPEN. We are awaiting the issuance of a construction permit. The final regular open days will be Jan. 11 & 25, 2026, with an additional bonus day on the 18th.

12/1/2025: A complete set of plans, developed over the past year by Susan Collard, was accepted by for review by Portland's Bureau of Development Services.
