Zymoglyphic dioramas are usually constructed in fish tanks or vitrines; this one uses an old display case to show a modern couple connecting to their "roots" in a most literal sense.

In the Modern Age, dream interpretation focused on the psychology of the unconscious instead of portents and omens. This dream-model is based on a common motif in which one discovers additional, previously unknown rooms or floors in one's home or other otherwise familiar building. A couple inhabits their tastefully furnished (by Zymoglyphic standards) habitation on the top floor, playing a ball game that will lead them down through the lower, previously unknown, levels of the house, past ancient remains, extinct fauna, wild electrical wiring, roots, fungus, and finally into to a mossy cavern containing a wellspring of genitalia
